News Nurture Group crowned Green Business of the Year at the Green Awards UK 2025 Date: 11th September 2025 Share: Nurture Group has been named Green Business of the Year 2025 at the Green Awards UK. After winning the Large Business (1,000+ Employees) category, we were honoured to also take home the overall award of the night – a recognition that spans every sector and industry across the UK. This award is a testament to our team’s dedication to placing sustainability at the heart of everything Nurture does, from managing landscapes to engaging people, partners and communities with the natural environment. Leading with purpose and impact As the UK’s leading provider of grounds maintenance and green services, our purpose is simple: to create a healthier, safer and more beautiful world. We do this with a strong ESG focus and a passion for sustainability, biodiversity and innovation, working alongside our clients to deliver solutions that truly make a difference. “The judges were impressed by the well-structured and engaging submission, which demonstrated a high level of maturity in sustainability strategy. They noted that the blend of measurable operational data, biodiversity outcomes, and staff and community engagement reflected a truly holistic approach. Additionally, the clarity and polish of the document made the achievements highly accessible and persuasive. The judges also commended the submission as a well-considered initiative that effectively addressed key industry challenges and opportunities. They observed that strong stakeholder engagement was evident, with a clear emphasis on education and practical sustainability solutions. Moreover, the judges recognised the commitment to community and environmental involvement was regarded as particularly commendable, and believed that the project had significant potential to make a lasting impact, particularly in raising awareness and understanding of nature and habitat preservation.” Growing responsibly and sustainably The Nurture Group is expanding rapidly, with five leading brands operating across the UK. Scaling at this pace brings complexity, but we remain firmly focused on responsible growth and ensuring all parts of our business align with our ESG commitments. We remain firmly on track to meet our approved Net Zero targets, including a 42% reduction in Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions by 2030 and a 90% reduction by 2040, in line with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). For us, success is not measured by financial growth alone. It is equally about how we balance expansion with environmental responsibility and lasting positive impact. Knowledge-sharing and industry leadership Another factor recognised by the judges was Nurture’s commitment to transparency and knowledge-sharing. With in-house expertise across sustainability, biodiversity and green innovation, we regularly share insights and knowledge through our engagement events. Our goal is not only to lead by example, but to inspire other businesses to adopt meaningful, practical sustainability measures. Our commitment extends through Nurture Green Solutions, which helps clients improve biodiversity and sustainability across their sites. From habitat creation and native planting to pollinator-friendly schemes and community engagement, these initiatives deliver measurable ecological benefits and strengthen public understanding of nature’s value. A defining achievement Winning Green Business of the Year 2025 is more than an award – it is recognition of the dedication of our people and the clients who partner with us. It reflects our belief that business growth should never come at the expense of the environment, but rather should contribute to its protection and restoration. This achievement strengthens our resolve to keep driving change, delivering innovative green solutions, and helping people and places across the UK thrive.
