our communities
At the Nurture Group, we go beyond the contract by supporting local communities through hands-on volunteering, creative experiences, charity partnerships, and our colleague-led ESG Fund – all designed to leave a lasting, positive impact.
At the Nurture Group, we believe that our responsibility doesn’t stop at delivering exceptional services. From supporting local charities and community projects to running educational workshops and promoting biodiversity, we’re passionate about making a real, lasting difference in the communities we serve.
Whether we’re creating greener spaces, funding grassroots initiatives, or leading sustainability workshops, our work is rooted in purpose. When you join Nurture, you’re not just building your career – you’re helping build stronger, more connected, and more resilient communities.
In 2021, we launched the Nurture Group ESG Fund to empower colleagues across the business to support causes they care about. What began as a £25,000 annual investment has now doubled to £50,000 for 2025 – and it’s already funded over 92 community and charity projects nationwide, with a combined value of more than £65,000.
The fund is inclusive, flexible, and truly colleague-led – enabling individuals and teams to apply for support that reflects their passions and helps meet local needs. From youth sports to environmental clean-ups, mental health charities to school gardening projects, we’re proud to champion community impact from the ground up.
The ESG Fund allows us to invest in what matters – our people and their communities. It’s community funding with a personal touch.
We don’t just donate – we show up. Across the UK, our teams provide labour, skills, materials, and expertise to small-scale environmental and community projects that need a helping hand. Whether it’s creating sensory gardens, renovating green spaces, or building vegetable plots for local schools, we’re committed to rolling up our sleeves and making a real difference.
We also support volunteering days, allowing colleagues to give back to causes they care about – while building stronger team bonds and creating lasting local connections.
Nurture Group is proud to deliver a wide range of creative and educational experiences that bring people together and connect communities with nature.
Popular experiences include:
Christmas wreath making, flower arranging & hanging basket workshops
Pumpkin carving and vegetable growing sessions
Nature walks, biodiversity talks, and beekeeping demonstrations
‘Meet the Bee’ and ‘Harvest the Honey’ days led by our master beekeepers
Interactive wellbeing activities tailored to client wellbeing calendars
These events not only boost morale and engagement for clients and their teams but also create shared learning experiences for local schools, community groups, and residents.
We support a wide range of national and local charities through direct donations, client partnerships, and fundraising efforts – including organisations such as Perennial, Macmillan, and Help for Heroes.
Whether it’s giving time, funding, expertise or energy, we’re proud to be a company that gives back.
Our community commitment goes hand in hand with our environmental and social values. We are:
We’re actively committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across our entire value chain by 2050
Focused on sourcing sustainable energy for all operational assets
Deploying ESG funds annually to support community and sustainability projects
Striving for workforce diversity that reflects the communities we serve
We want to leave every community we work in better than we found it – greener, stronger, and more connected.
We believe in using our resources and reach to do good – and we invite every colleague to be part of that mission. When you join us, you don’t just contribute to our business; you contribute to something far greater – a culture of giving, growing, and making life better for others.
