Nurture’s biodiversity initiatives, community engagement, and environmental stewardship, played a key role in this achievement. The award recognised Nurture’s alignment with CBRE’s values and ESG commitment to drive positive social and environmental impact across the CBRE portfolio. Nurture Group has been honoured with the prestigious ESG & Social Impact Award at CBRE’s Above and Beyond Awards, held on 19 September 2024 at CBRE’s flagship UK office in London. This annual awards event recognises the outstanding achievements of CBRE’s Supplier Partners, who consistently go “above and beyond” in delivering exceptional service across the UK. The ESG & Social Impact Award celebrates the suppliers that demonstrate a strong alignment with CBRE’s own sustainability, diversity, and social impact objectives, contributing to carbon reduction, social value, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives. Nurture’s award submission highlighted the company’s integral role in supporting CBRE’s ESG goals through their grounds maintenance services across several sites, with a core focus on environmental and biodiversity initiatives. The submission showcased Nurture’s alignment with CBRE’s core RISE values (Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence), while highlighting their own values of Passion, Respect, Integrity, Diversity, and Expertise. At Milton Park, one of the key locations Nurture supports, the team has delivered exceptional grounds maintenance across 302 acres of open and landscaped space. Nurture’s efforts have included planting 15,500 bulbs, establishing 1,420 m² of wildflower meadows, and creating unique environmental features such as bee colonies, Bio Heavens, and Bug Hotels. Additionally, they have been actively engaging with the local community by conducting occupier events and working with schools and nurseries to promote biodiversity and environmental stewardship. Nurture’s long-term commitment to biodiversity is evident in their management of Milton Park’s Biodiversity Action Plan, which has seen over 10 years of continuous improvement. Beyond this, Nurture has been proactive in driving innovative environmental projects in collaboration with CBRE, including creating gardens from construction waste that support wildlife habitats and improve biodiversity. These efforts, along with their support for over 70,000 honeybees, the installation of bird and bat boxes, and habitat creation for hedgehogs, have been central to their environmental contribution. Dave Taylor, Nurture’s Environment and Innovation Manager, expressed the company’s pride in receiving the award: “We are incredibly proud to have been recognised by CBRE with the ESG & Social Impact Award. This accolade is a testament to our team’s dedication to supporting CBRE in achieving their ESG goals while adding real value through our environmental and social initiatives. At Nurture, we passionately believe that our own focus on sustainability, biodiversity, and social value aligns perfectly with CBRE’s vision. Together, we are driving meaningful change that benefits CBRE and their clients, the environment and the communities we serve.” The Above and Beyond Awards are a key element of CBRE’s Partner Excellence Programme, designed to celebrate the remarkable contributions of suppliers who deliver exceptional service to CBRE and their clients. As a global leader in commercial real estate services, CBRE continues to place Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) considerations at the heart of their operations, recognising the importance of partnerships in advancing these efforts. Nurture Group will be attending the CBRE Supplier Partner Event 2024 on Thursday 3 October at Old Billingsgate, London.
