Nurture Group, in collaboration with Crocus, proudly took home a Gold Medal at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. The garden, envisioned by renowned garden designer Sarah Price, reflects her passion for wild and natural landscapes, emphasising a harmonious integration with the existing environment to promote wildlife enhancement.

Taking inspiration from Cedric Morris’ famous Benton End garden, known for its naturalistic design and cultivation of over 90 Iris varieties, Sarah’s Chelsea garden put a spotlight on the Benton Iris, Elaeagnus Quicksilver, and other Morris cultivars. The planting palette maintained a wild aesthetic, creating a captivating display of textures against a backdrop of straw-cob walls.

The design introduced an innovative perspective on gardening, prioritising craftsmanship and sustainability. Waste-based materials were transformed into beautiful and eco-friendly creations, sourced locally and incorporated reclaimed materials whenever possible.

Post-show, many of the plants, materials, and herbaceous grasses found a new home at Benton End, symbolising the revival of ‘lost’ plants. Nurture Group and Crocus share a common passion for plants and sustainability, making their partnership in sponsoring the Chelsea garden a natural fit.

Sarah Price is a prominent garden designer in Britain with a background in fine art, boasting a decorated career, including Gold Medals at Chelsea in 2012 and 2018. Her diverse portfolio spans private, public, and show gardens, reflecting her childhood spent exploring rural landscapes and shaping her design ethos focused on working intricately with sites, enhancing wildlife, and minimising the environmental impact.

The garden was a standout feature of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2023, embodying a fresh perspective on garden creation that celebrated craftsmanship, sustainability, and the allure of wild and natural environments.
