Exciting developments have unfolded as we fortify our footprint in Scotland through the recent acquisition of Roy Cowie Ltd, a prominent Aberdeenshire-based business. This strategic move enhances Nurture’s operations in the region. This transaction represents the 46th acquisition by the Nurture Group since we formed in 2008 and marks our fourth in Scotland since 2012.

Roy Cowie Ltd, headquartered in Aberdeen, specialises in green services, offering a comprehensive range of solutions encompassing commercial and domestic grounds maintenance, landscape construction, garden upkeep, tree surgery, as well as gritting and snow clearing services. Established in 1994 by Roy and Heather Cowie, the company has cultivated a formidable reputation in the region, catering to esteemed clients such as Aberdeen Airport, Prime Four Business Park, Grampian Housing, Richard Irvine FM, and the royal estates at Balmoral Castle and Birkhall.

With an annual sales volume nearing £4 million, Roy Cowie’s portfolio aligns seamlessly with Nurture’s existing operations in the Aberdeen area. This collaboration includes a recent major contract win with a multi-national energy company, poised to be integrated under the management of Roy Cowie’s established team of 60 professionals. Upon completion of this integration, we anticipates a significant presence in the region, boasting a workforce of 133 colleagues, operating 67 vans across landscape maintenance, landscape construction, winter gritting, and tree surgery. Winter gritting services will be extended to 841 sites through 24 dedicated gritting vans.
