News Nurture Group Achieves Level 2 Disability Confident Employer Status Date: 27th October 2026 Share: Nurture Group has achieved Level 2 Disability Confident Employer status, recognising our commitment to creating an inclusive workplace where people have the opportunity to develop and thrive. The achievement follows the successful completion of the Disability Confident self-assessment by our People Team. We’ll continue building on this work as we look towards Level 3. Inclusive Recruitment and Development As a Disability Confident Employer, Nurture Group is committed to attracting and supporting disabled people throughout their employment journey. Our approach includes accessible recruitment processes, reasonable adjustments for applicants and colleagues, and offering an interview to disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria for a role. These measures help ensure candidates have a fair opportunity to demonstrate their skills and suitability. We also offer work experience placements, apprenticeships and employment opportunities across the Group, helping people develop practical skills and gain experience in a range of roles. Our programmes cover areas including horticulture, landscape construction, arboriculture and leadership, alongside partnerships with organisations such as the YMCA. Nurture Group provides equal opportunities training for office-based colleagues and field managers, alongside additional training on topics including unconscious bias, disability inclusion and equality. Our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion commitments focus on removing barriers, providing appropriate support and making reasonable adjustments where needed. Colleagues can also voluntarily share information about a disability or health condition to help us better understand their needs and provide suitable support. We also encourage our suppliers and partners to adopt inclusive recruitment and employment practices, sharing our relevant policies and promoting awareness of the Disability Confident scheme. Looking Ahead Achieving Level 2 Disability Confident Employer status is an important milestone for Nurture Group and our People Team. We’ll continue to develop our approach, raise awareness and build on the work already taking place across the Group as we work towards Level 3. Our aim is to create a workplace where people feel supported, valued and able to reach their potential.
