Nurture Group expands pest control presence with the acquisition of Midland Pest Control Ltd

With the completion of our 45th acquisition, the purchase of this Birmingham-based pest control business will allow the Nurture Group to consolidate our position as one of the leading providers in the UK pest control market, delivering a flexible, local service to our clients, with national operational capabilities.

About Midland Pest Control

Founded in 2000 by Stephen and Ruth Hurley, Midland Pest Control specialises in pest control identification, treatment, and prevention solutions for both commercial and domestic premises. Situated at its central Birmingham Head Office, the company has established a strong client base spanning major cities throughout the Midlands area, including Wolverhampton, Coventry, and Nottingham. Midland Pest Control’s expertise extends across an array of sectors, including facilities management, property management, hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing, warehousing, offices, retail, vehicle hire, and industrial services.

The company shares Nurture’s commitment to environmental best practice in pest control and uses environmentally safe and sustainable energy sources wherever possible. It has introduced robust and sustainable waste management policies, recycling materials, aiming to minimise waste, and disposing of it through safe and responsible methods.

As a result, they have established a strong reputation underpinned by the expertise of its highly experienced pest technicians and prides itself on delivering quality, flexible pest control services addressing a wide range of pest infestations including rodents, cockroaches, and birds.

Welcoming Midland Pest Control into the Nurture Group

Chris Evans, chief operating officer for Nurture’s pest control services, described the deal as ‘a great way to kick start 2024’. Midland Pest Control brings with them a breadth of knowledge and experienced technicians to the Nurture Family, growing our national coverage of pest control services through new and existing business interests in the area. 

Peter Fane, Nurture Group founder and executive chairman, added: “Midland Pest Control has a strong order book and has seen a high value pipeline throughout 2023 and this will allow us the opportunity to cross sell pest control services into our established Midlands grounds maintenance and plant display operations. 2024 is going to be a strong year for Nurture, the foundations of which are seen in this deal.”
