The Green Flag Award, marking its silver jubilee this year, celebrates the country’s best parks, with several of our sites making the list.

Today, the Green Flag will be flying at 14 sites across the country, along with an additional 4 sites being accredited Green Heritage status.

Green Flags were awarded to Farnborough Business Park, Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work, Chineham Business Park, Stockley Park and Liverpool One Shopping Centre all maintained by Nurture Landscapes.

A further 9 flags were awarded to Greenwich Park, Richmond Park, Bushy Park, Chiswick House and Gardens Trust, Aldershot Military Cemetery, Cheshunt Park Golf Course, Bluewater Shopping Destination, Jubilee Gardens and Potters Field Park all maintained by Gavin Jones.

Greenwich Park, Richmond Park, Bushy Park, and Chiswick House and Gardens Trust were also accredited Green Heritage Status.

The Award is the international quality mark for parks and green spaces. Parks and green spaces played a vital role for people throughout the Covid-19 lockdowns, providing places to relax, exercise and meet friends and family safely. The news that so many of The Group’s sites have either retained or gained a prestigious Green Flag Award is testament to the hard work and dedication of all our teams and the great collaboration we have with our clients.

Nurture CEO, Peter Fane, commented: “The past 18 months or so have shown how important the local park green space is to the community and it gives us at The Nurture Group a great sense of pride being able to maintain these areas which benefit so many. Our individual teams all work towards the same goal – to care for and nurture our parks and environment, making them accessible for everyone to enjoy. Having so many of our sites appear amongst the Green Flag winners is testament to the hard work and passion that our teams put in day in day out; a brilliant achievement that everyone should be most proud of.”

The Green Flag Award scheme, managed by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy under licence from the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, recognises and rewards well-managed parks and green spaces, setting the benchmark standard for the management of green spaces across the United Kingdom and around the world.
