News Grace Landscapes joins the Nurture family Date: 1st October 2018 Share: Nurture are delighted to welcome Grace Landscapes into the Nurture family. Grace Landscapes Ltd joins the Nurture Group of companies from 1st October 2018. Founded in 1978 by Tim Grace, Grace provide high quality grounds maintenance and landscape construction across the North of England, with annual sales of around £6.5m. Based in Mirfield, West Yorkshire, they have regional depots in the North East, North West and the Midlands so fit perfectly into Nurtures North Region, run by regional director Nick Hills. The Mirfield depot will remain as will most of the 116 staff, thus ensuring clients receive continuity of service without any disruption. The majority of the Grace portfolio is made up of corporate clients with a small amount of housing and winter gritting, which they currently outsource. Winter gritting was not a standard service offered by Grace, so Nurture will look at implementing this to the whole of the Grace client base through the established Winter Gritting team. Having built the business up from scratch, Tim was reluctant to sell to a large FM company knowing that Grace would lose the family ethos and the quality it had built up over the years. Selling the company to Nurture seemed the perfect solution. Even though Nurture has grown into an acclaimed national contractor, it retains the ideals of a family business, with 18% of the company still owned by its staff. The company will continue to trade as Grace Landscapes Ltd until the end of 2018, and will then be rebranded as Nurture Landscapes from January 2019. Peter Fane, comments: “I’ve known the owners Tim Grace and Hugh Pawsey for years and have greatly admired their business. The company is full of great people who deliver work of exceptional quality, which is evident in their 17 BALI Awards and some of the fabulous clients they look after”. Tim Grace says of the acquisition: “I am delighted to be handing the reins over to Nurture. Having known Peter and his business for years, I know he will enhance what Hugh and I have already built and will help Grace continue to develop and grow alongside Gavin Jones and Frosts, our peers who we much admire and respect. Peter has put together a group of the best landscape companies in the UK and we are proud and honoured to join the Nurture family . It will be sad to let go after all these years but I know Grace will be kept in safe hands.” Share: Related content View all insights Nurture Landscapes’ Ahtraeo Punter named in Pro Landscaper’s 30 Under 30: The Next Generation 2025 We are delighted to share that Ahtraeo Punter, Assistant Contracts Manager at Nurture Landscapes, has been recognised in Pro Landscaper’s prestigious 30 Under 30: The Next Generation awards.
