News The Nurture Group named industry trailblazer for championing Real Living Wage Date: 14th July 2022 Share: We are delighted to be named the Industry Trailblazer at the Living Wage Foundation’s annual Champion awards. As a group, we employ more than 1400 people across the UK, and since becoming a Real Living Wage employer last October 2021, we have implemented an average pay rise of 5.3% for operational colleagues aged 18 and over. We have been actively championing the Real Living Wage through external messaging and engagement with both our supply chain and clients, so it was great having the work we have done be recognised by the Living Wage Foundation. Paul Bean, sales director, said: “Being named as a Real Living Wage industry trailblazer is a proud achievement for us as a group. Since becoming a Real Living Wage employer, we have worked diligently to carry the initiative across all our communications and be an exemplar for the cause in our industry. As a company, we strive to support our teams in their career progression and being a Real Living Wage employer is a key part of that mandate, along with recognising and rewarding the great work that they do on a daily basis.” The Real Living Wage is a voluntary figure paid by more than 10 000 businesses nationwide, including FTSE 100 organisations and major household brands. Current figures are £9.90 per hour for the UK and £11.05 for London. Further information about the Real Living Wage is available at www.livingwage.org.uk.
