Nurture Group Shines at the 2023 BALI Awards: Double Triumph in Grounds Maintenance and Interior Landscape

Nurture Landscapes has secured two prestigious awards at the British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) Awards 2023. The company’s outstanding work at Chiswick Park and Braze earned it the Principal Award for Grounds Maintenance and Interior Landscape, respectively.

Chiswick Park’s Grounds Maintenance Recognised

Chiswick Park, an expansive business estate spanning 1.8 million sq. ft, has been honoured with the 2023 Principal Award for Grounds Maintenance in the Limited Public Access category. Comprising 12 office buildings arranged around an enchanting ‘inner garden,’ the park boasts a two-tier lake, waterfall, decked boardwalk, pathways, events space, and meticulously landscaped surroundings.

In collaboration with the property management company, Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work, responsible for the estate, we have created an environment that not only ensures the efficient management and maintenance of the buildings but also focuses on sustainability and biodiversity. Our dedication to excellence in landscape maintenance aligns seamlessly with the client’s vision, resulting in the transformation of turfed areas into flower beds to enhance biodiversity. The team’s commitment to sustainability is further evident through on-site recycling, installation of beehives, and the establishment of a kitchen garden.

The judges praised the work we have done on Chiswick Park stating: “This impressive business park is a credit to both the client and the grounds maintenance contractor. They work together in a collaborative partnership, constantly finding was to improve an already lovely working environment by increasing biodiversity and creating and maintaining a landscape with which people can fully engage in their downtime.”

Braze’s Innovative Interior Landscape Design Acknowledged

Our excellence extends to Interior Landscaping, with Braze’s new offices at Exchange Square securing the 2023 Principal Award for Installation-Only Interior Landscape. Braze, a cloud-based multichannel marketing company, entrusted us to bring life and vibrancy to its European showcase office near Liverpool Street Station.

Braze’s directive to avoid a corporate and mundane look led our team to design and install a hydroponic interior scheme. Over six days and outside of office hours, the two-person team crafted a unique landscape featuring planters atop lockers, planted space dividers, and carefully selected greenery in reception and kitchen areas. The result delighted Braze’s employees and satisfied the client’s vision for a distinctive, non-traditional workspace.

The judges also heaped praise on the Braze project saying: “This is an excellent scheme that has been executed to a very high standard. The design approach supports the client’s brand and enhances the offices interior design. All plants are healthy and thriving and give the working environment an airy contemporary feel.”

Celebrating Collaborative Success with CGM and Gavin Jones

In addition to Nurture Landscapes double triumph, the BALI Awards also recognised outstanding achievements by CGM Group and Gavin Jones, also part of the Nurture Group.

CGM Group secured the 2023 Award for Regeneration Scheme (Under £500k) for its exceptional work at The Queen Mother’s Garden. Meanwhile, Gavin Jones was honoured with the 2023 Award for Domestic Garden Construction (Over £250k) for its contribution to a private residence in Oxfordshire.
