Thanks to a successful period of growth and development, we’re proud to announce that we’re now one of the “1000 Companies to Inspire Britain 2019”. The annual list, compiled by The London Stock Exchange, factors a company’s size, turnover, and financial growth compared to other companies in different sectors, with those performing strongest being awarded a place on the list. It also celebrates the contribution of the UK’s rapidly growing businesses and the people working in them. This accolade comes at a great time for us here at Nurture Landscapes. We have won Green Apple and Green Flag awards alongside a string of British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) Awards last year, and the recent acquisition of Gavin Jones has seen our teams expand further across the country. Our work in providing a sustainable, environmentally friendly way of working has led to us achieve ISO 14001 accreditation but we don’t stop there; we constantly review the way we work to ensure our clients receive the greenest solutions, we recommend environmental initiatives to help them reduce their carbon footprints and suggest ways they can improve energy efficiency. Last year, we also added the European Business Awards’ Social Responsibility and Environmental Awareness Award, to our collection, as national winners, it really is testament to our team’s commitment in championing sustainability. This has been made possible by our aptitude for delivering consistent quality of service, building strong customer relations and a focus on our staff; after all, they are the ones working hard for our clients to deliver excellence. Our mantra of “recruit for attitude, train for skill” means that all new members of our fast-growing team can expect full training and development opportunities, within a supportive working environment. We’re also keen for our staff to share our success, which is why we offer all management and office staff the opportunity to own a stake in the business, ensuring they remain firmly at the heart of its operations; our employees own around 15% of our business. “It’s a privilege to be named on the list of 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain. Recent years have been some of the best in the history of Nurture Landscapes, and we owe a lot of our success to our teams working out in the field and at our depots. We always endeavor to deliver the best in quality, be a part of our local communities, and support our staff so that we can all continue inspiring one another. We have ambitious plans for growth, and aspire to continue being a company which inspires staff and clients alike. While our head office is in Surrey, we work with clients across the depth and breadth of the UK and do all we can to ensure we are able to give something back to the communities in which we work.” Peter Fane, Managing Director Being named as one of the 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain is also down to the relationships we form with our clients and the local communities in which we operate. This year, we donated a collection of beehives to Howbery Business Park in Oxfordshire, the only solar-powered business park in the UK, and put on a fundraiser for the 25th anniversary of a network of charities around Farnborough. This is, and always will be, a vital part in what we do here at Nurture. As part of our core values, we always recognize the importance of nurturing the environment and people through innovation and forming lasting partnerships. With plenty of exciting plans in the pipeline, we’re looking forward to what the next few years have in store for us. View the full list of 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain.
