Nurture Group Secures Silver Award for Armed Forces Covenant Commitment

In a significant achievement, Nurture Group has clinched The Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Silver Award for the Armed Forces Covenant, marking a commendable progression from the Bronze Award secured last year. This accomplishment reflects the dedication and hard work of the Nurture team, emphasising their commitment to supporting the armed forces and upholding a set of values that go beyond mere corporate expansion.

What is the Armed Forces Covenant?

The Armed Forces Covenant is a pledge that together we acknowledge and understand that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy and society they serve with their lives.

Elevating Corporate Values

Nurture's success was not a solo endeavour, as its recent acquisitions, NESL and CGM, also secured the coveted Silver Award. This joint recognition underscores the strategic cohesion within the Nurture Group, highlighting a shared commitment to principles that extend beyond the boundaries of individual companies. It signifies that Nurture's acquisition strategy is not solely driven by a quest for national coverage but is deeply rooted in aligning with businesses that mirror its ethos and practices.

Andrew Gannon, Fleet Manager, CGM added: “CGM has helped me transition from the military to civilian street. CGM are giving me the opportunity to use the skills and experiences that I have learned in the miliary, taking a chance on someone with no civilian street experience.”

The Silver Award achievement elevates the narrative behind Nurture's acquisition perspective. It is a testament to the fact that the company is not merely expanding its footprint but is, instead, integrating organisations that share its values. This is more than a corporate strategy; it is a demonstration of Nurture's belief that a unified ethos enhances business performance and contributes to the greater good.

Andrew Brightman, Head of Bid and Sales Operations at Nurture Group said: “We as a business are immensely proud to both partner with other organisations that have the same values and will continue to support and engage in longer term relationships with the Armed Forces community in support of our wider commitments and look forward to the future ahead.” One noteworthy aspect that contributed to Nurture's pursuit of the Armed Forces Covenant recognition is the company's expertise and services in the realm of MOD facilities management. The strategic alignment of Nurture's capabilities with the needs of MOD facilities played a pivotal role in the decision to pursue this specific award. It reflects a conscientious effort to bridge the gap between corporate endeavours and societal responsibilities, especially in a domain as critical as defence infrastructure management.

As Nurture Group celebrates the Silver Award, our commitment to supporting the armed forces signals not just an accomplishment, but a stepping stone towards the Gold Award, reinforcing our dedication to advancing corporate values and societal responsibilities in the pursuit of excellence.
