Nurture Landscapes Sponsors a Sustainable Garden at RHS Chelsea 2023, Inspired by Cedric Morris and Designed by Sarah Price

Nurture Landscapes, in partnership with Crocus, is sponsoring a garden at The RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2023

Nurture Landscapes, in partnership with Crocus, is sponsoring a garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2023, designed by the renowned garden designer Sarah Price. Sarah is known for her love of wild and natural environments, and her approach to gardening emphasizes the need to work with the existing site and enhance wildlife.

Sarah's design for the Chelsea garden takes inspiration from Cedric Morris' Benton End garden, which was known for its naturalistic design and breeding of at least 90 different Iris varieties. The Nurture Landscapes garden will focus on Benton Iris, Elaeagnus Quicksilver, and other Morris cultivars, while maintaining a wild planting palette.

The garden will showcase a variety of textures, with straw-cob walls as a backdrop to the plantings. The design explores a fresh approach to garden-making, emphasizing craftsmanship and sustainability. Waste-based materials will be used to create beautiful and sustainable creations, and the garden will be sourced locally and use reclaimed materials wherever possible.

After the show, many of the plants, materials, and herbaceous grasses will find a new home at Benton End, signifying the return of the 'lost' plants.

Nurture Landscapes and Crocus are both based in Windlesham and employ over 2,000 employees collectively. The two companies share a love for all things plants and sustainability, making the sponsorship of the Chelsea garden a natural partnership.

Sarah Price is a prominent female garden designer in Britain, trained in fine art, and has won numerous awards, including Gold Medals at Chelsea in 2012 and 2018. She is a contributing editor for Gardens Illustrated, and her diverse portfolio of designs includes Private, Public, and Show Gardens. Sarah's childhood spent exploring rural landscapes shaped her design style, which emphasizes the importance of working with the intricacies of a site, enhancing wildlife, and creating a low impact on the environment.

The Nurture Landscapes garden is sure to be a highlight of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2023, showcasing a fresh approach to garden-making that places emphasis on craftsmanship, sustainability, and the beauty of wild and natural environments.
