Stockport-based Claphams Landscape Services has joined forces with the Nurture Landscapes Group in a collaboration which will continue to strengthen and enhance the Grounds maintenance services portfolio to clients across the Greater Manchester and North of England for both companies.
Claphams was founded 25 years ago by Rod King and Peter Harper, who will assist with a smooth handover. The acquisition will bring the Group an additional £4m in annual sales, focused on retail parks, shopping centres, and industrial estates. Claphams’ team of 75 staff will be retained and move into Nurture’s Manchester office.
The operations will then be split into Nurture’s coverage regions, ensuring continuity of service to its clients.
Claphams will continue to traded under its own name until 1st April 2020, before moving to the Nurture brand.
Director Kevin Brace said: “I am delighted that we’ve joined the Nurture family. This union works perfectly for Claphams Landscape Services and Nurture Landscapes, whom we share similar best practice with. Our client base is similar, so our customers can now benefit from the industry expertise and resources of two great businesses.”
Nurture Landscapes MD, Peter Fane added: “We’re excited to welcome Claphams Landscape Services into the Nurture group. Both companies share similar values and methods and we’re delighted to continue providing the quality, consistent service that all our respective clients expect through this latest collaboration.”
This acquisition is one of two Nurture has completed this year, bringing its total number to 25. It allows Nurture and Claphams Landscape Services to share expertise and expand into new clients and markets, whilst still providing the high level of service to both companies’ respective clientele.
