The Glebe

The Glebe project entailed the extension and conversion of the former Jamahiriya School building to create six extensive high-end luxury residential dwellings of the very highest quality, together with the construction of two new, multi-level, luxury residential Villa’s in the old school grounds. 

Gavin Jones Ltd was awarded the hard and soft landscape packages to all areas and levels, working under the main contractor.

Part of our role was to provide shop drawings, samples and mock-ups from our specialists to help realise the design intent and co-ordinate through workshops with other trade contractors for integration and approval.  Installation of this high-quality scheme spanned a 3-year period.  As well as the focus on the hard landscaping – drainage, build-ups, quality paving, water-features, bespoke joinery, metal walling and gates our works also included the supply and installation of all of the soft landscape elements, green roofs and a substantial green wall.

Tight site access and storage logistics meant close co-ordination for all deliveries, including crane-only lifting and distribution on to site. The scheme received a BALI Award in 2021, recognising the quality of the installation of the hard landscaping elements particularly.
